The lecture will focus on regional and local nerve blocks performed when doing equine extractions. Regional nerve blocks covered will be the maxillary, infraorbital, mental, and inferior alveolar. A discussion around local nerve blocks including ring blocks for incisors, periodontal ligament injections, and buccal/palatal infusions will also be included. Step-by-step instruction and tips and tricks to make these blocks a reality for more successful and safe extractions is the goal of the presentation.
