2-day wetlab Equine Oral Dental Extraction Techniques Course in Germany

VetPDorganizes an Equine Oral Dental Extraction Techniques Course in Germany near Mnster on 7th & 8th February 2020.



Oral extraction techniques have been shown to cause muchfewer post-interventional complicationsin horses compared to surgical extraction techniques.

Performing oral dental extractions should however not be taken lightly as complications like dental fractures, retained root tips, collateral damage etc. can easily occur and require in-depth anatomical knowledge, good technical skills and clinical versatility to resolve.

This 2-day highly practical boutique course(max. 24 attendees) is aimed at practitioners with a good working knowledge in equine dentistry who want to learn about various oral dental extraction techniques, how to apply them clinically and managing arising complications.

Thepanel of internationally renowned specialistswill be sharing technical tips and tricks and pearls of wisdom that they have accumulated over the many years of working in equine dental practice.

Between both afternoons the7 hours of practical sessionswill provide an intimate environment for attendees to develop their practical skills on equine specimens intrue small groups (2-3 vets per specimen)at the following stations:

✔️Diagnostic Imaging – Radiography etc.

✔️Local Anesthetic Techniques (incl. TMJ)

Last chance to register for the course "Introduction to Advanced Surgical Dental Extraction Techniques"
organized byVetPD - Veterinary Professional Developmentin Osloon 4th & 5th October 2019.

This 2-day highly practical boutique course (max. 18 attendees) was devised for advanced practitioners with surgical experience and surgeons with a good working knowledge/experience in equine dentistry, specifically with dental extractions.

The panel of internationally renowned specialists will provide an overview on up-to-date, minimally-invasive surgical dental extraction techniques in horses, including minimally-invasive trephination & repulsion (MITR), minimally-invasive transbuccal extraction (MTE) and dental segmentation. They will furthermore be sharing technical tips and tricks and pearls of wisdom that they have accumulated over the many years of performing equine dental surgery.

Between both days the 9 hours of practical sessions will provide an intimate environment for attendees to develop their surgical skills on equine specimens in true small groups (2-3 vets per specimen; attendee-to-instructor ratio of 4-6/1) at the following stations:
✔️Surgical Anatomy of the Head & Nerve Blocks
✔️Minimally Invasive Trephination & Repulsion (MITR)
