Neoplasia affecting the tissues of the mouth (incl. teeth) and sinuses occur sporadically worldwide, and the literature comprises predominantly of individual case reports with a few historical series. \u00a0Advanced imaging modalities like MRI and CT have enabled earlier diagnosis, a more thorough appraisal of affected anatomical structures and better treatment planning. \u00a0However, at present treatment options are limited and to a large extent outcomes remain uncertain.<\/p>\n
As part of this exchange, we aim to review the most commonly reported tumors, their presenting signs, diagnostic findings and treatments. In addition, using case examples, the opportunities for three-dimensional diagnostic imaging will be discussed along with guidelines for selection of treatments based on the reported outcomes and the considerable experience of the international panel consisting of 4 world-renowned experts.\u00a0 We expect this exchange to be lively, interesting and visually stimulating and we welcome as many veterinarians who are keen to take part and contribute.<\/p>\n
