A brief outline of the research to date in equine veterinary injury, specifically looking at equine dentistry.  The human anatomy and potential injury sites are discussed; with links then made to equine dentistry practice, highlighting commonly seen poor postural positioning contributing and potentially leading directly to injury.   Recommendations are then made for practice modification and self-management strategies for injury prevention and physical wellbeing are discussed.
