{"id":8737,"date":"2022-01-06T10:25:07","date_gmt":"2022-01-06T09:25:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.horse-dental-equipment.com\/?post_type=mec-events&#038;p=8737"},"modified":"2022-07-27T14:27:29","modified_gmt":"2022-07-27T12:27:29","slug":"equine-oral-dental-extraction-techniques-3","status":"publish","type":"mec-events","link":"https:\/\/www.horse-dental-equipment.com\/es\/events\/equine-oral-dental-extraction-techniques-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Equine Oral Dental Extraction Techniques"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Oral extraction techniques have been shown to cause much fewer post-interventional complications in horses compared to surgical extraction techniques.\u00a0 Performing oral dental extractions should however not be taken lightly as complications like dental fractures, retained root tips, collateral damage etc. can easily occur and require in-depth anatomical knowledge, good technical skills and clinical versatility to resolve.\u00a0 This 2-day highly practical boutique course (max. 24 attendees) is aimed at practitioners with a good working knowledge in equine dentistry who want to learn about various oral dental extraction techniques, how to apply them clinically and managing arising complications.\u00a0 The panel of internationally renowned specialists will be sharing technical tips and tricks and pearls of wisdom that they have accumulated over the many years of working in equine dental practice.<\/p>\n<p>Between both afternoons the\u00a0<strong>7 hours of practical sessions\u00a0<\/strong>will provide an intimate environment for attendees to develop their practical skills on equine specimens in\u00a0<strong>true small groups (2-3 vets per specimen)\u00a0<\/strong>at the following stations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oral Examination &amp; Endoscopy<\/li>\n<li>Diagnostic Imaging \u2013 Radiography etc.<\/li>\n<li>Local Anesthetic Techniques (incl. TMJ)<\/li>\n<li>Incisor &amp; Canine Extractions<\/li>\n<li>Oral Extraction Techniques for Cheek Teeth I<\/li>\n<li>Oral Extraction Techniques for Cheek Teeth II<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The course fee includes lunches, coffee\/tea breaks, extensive course notes and a certificate of attendance. Attendees can choose to only attend the lectures (=\u00a0<strong>Lectures Only<\/strong>) on this course or can register for the entire course (=\u00a0<strong>Lectures &amp; Practical Sessions<\/strong>).\u00a0 On the evening of the first day all attendees are invited to attend the wine and cheese reception.
